Hi, I'm Quince the Questioning Queen Bee
In school we use our ‘questioning’ learning behaviour to help us learn how to ask questions about yourself and others and to encourage us to be curious about the world around us. In school your child may do this by: thinking of purposeful questions for themselves, watching Newsround and wanting to deepen knowledge of a new topic or asking a grown up or peer for support to understand something further.
At home you can help your child to question by; reading new texts or leaflets together and encourage open-ended questions, watch documentaries or learning shows together to promote discussions which will lead to questions. Answer questions from your child as much as possible and ask them some too!
